I believe we should no longer expect that the bulk of our education is at the beginning of our lives and then ends.  We need to keep retraining ourselves.  Currently, most of those successfully utilizing on-line learning already have degrees.  They have already learned how to learn.  Setting an example as lifelong learners is the best way to prepare our kids to do the same.
